It's a very nice place, it was very clean and there was a lot of room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. When we need a new mattress we didn't have to wait long.

The entertainment for the children was excellent apart from the music was so loud, there was always something for the children to do and not all of it costed money. The staff played with the children and danced with them. The beach isn't far away and there are a few cafes, however the big shop was half an hour away.

I read some reviews before and I saw some pictures and they were awful, but it's not like that. The only thing that I think people can complain about it that there is a lot of noise from the children playing but that didn't bother my family. I didn't give it 10/10 because the rooms were so basic and we had to buy everything including the bed covers.

My family loved it there and I would definitely come back again

Just returned home after a stay at Pontins Camber Sands 05/09 - 09/09.

Couldn't fault it.

Staff very helpful, efficient and friendly. Chalet was spot on. Clean and modernised. Contained everything we needed.

Onsite shop and local shop. Few minutes walk across road to beautiful sandy beach.

Looking forward to returning :-)

We have just returned from 4 days at Camber Sands.

Was very sceptical after reading reviews but feel I have to say that our chalet was fine - ok could have done with updating but we had great time for what we paid

The blue coats were useless & many of their amusements were not working. The entertainment rooms were absolutely boiling need air conditioning we found it difficult to sit in there for long.

But as a base was all ok.

I never usually write reviews because everyone has there own opinion and everyone is so quick to say something bad but never put themselves out to write something nice.

I stayed at pontins camber sands in April 2016, granted we had to go a week later because my daughter had chicken pox but that was no fault of pontins and at my surprise they altered our booking free of charge when they could have charged 10 pound admin fee.....

Don't get me wrong I didnt arrive and go omg this is amazing but I didn't go omg what a shit hole....

U get what u pay for in life and I'd rather pay pittance and the accommodation be basic but my children thoroughly enjoy them selves feel welcome and go back to school telling everyone they had a great time rather than saying it was really posh but weren't really that good .....

For all those ppl slating pontins just remember were u came from and it's what matters to ur kids not ur ego

We went over Easter weekend. There were 5 adults and 4 young children aged 5 and under (3 generations).  I booked 3 club apartments and having read the negative reviews was rather anxious that it would be a disaster. But what a wonderful time we had.

The children absolutely loved it. The staff and families we met were pleasant and well mannered. You could see that all the parents wanted their children to enjoy themselves and they did. Our apartments although a little tired looking were clean and functional and lovely and warm 24 hours. My daughter goes to Centre Parcs every year and her little 3 year old said he preferred Pontins. As my daughter said you pay three times the price for Centre Parcs.

Well done Pontins for the price, excellent value for money plus we all got a free breakfast, bottles of wine and 50% off leisure activities. I call that a bargain!

My only gripe was that one of the apartments wasn't in the same block which was a shame hence 9 instead of 10 but didn't spoil our enjoyment.

I believe you get what you pay for. It's not an expensive place so it isn't going to be filled with high luxury goods. I go every year.

I was a tad disappointed as this year the radiator didn't work in my room, but it's for 2 nights, I go with a load of people and just go and have fun.

I've spent my new year at pontins for 3 years now and I always have such fun.

We have been coming here for 6 years now and have had a brilliant time every year!

The staff are fantastic and the kids love all the activities and entertainment.

People moan about it being too basic, but its what you make of it!

We have just booked again for this year and can't wait.

My friends and their children invited myself and 13 year twin daughters

Had a fantastic 4 day break in august 2010 the entertainment was fantastic the blue coats were the best, couldnt ask for more. It was full of activities that we didnt even get time to go to the beach

Yes the chalets were basic but we only eat sleep bathe and change clothing in there so no complaints from us.

Cant wait to go back in july for a week this time to do more. also we are going to have the twins birthday there whoo hoo.

Thankyou Pontins Cambersands - your the BEST XX

I took my grandchildren for 4 days in budget accomodation, they loved the holiday and all the entertainment that was laid on for them, bluecoats were great and very friendly and fantastic with the kids.

We all had a great holiday and was an excellent price. Accomodation was nice and clean as was the bed linen, Only thing that I think needs doing is the chaletss good do with a lick of paint and some new sofa beds (my back is still aching from lumps and bumps) but saying all that we will be back next spring with the grandkids so see u then xx

Just come back from 3 nights holiday. After all the negative comments about the accommodation etc.was pleasantly surprised to find out the classic apartment/bedding was nice and clean with no bad smells(apart from stained carpet). The Blue Coats were all very friendly and helpful. Went for 3 nights and spent our days touring the beautiful Sussex countryside.

Unfortunately, the apartment was opposite the Queen Vic Pub (which stays open until 3 a.m.!!) and wheelie bins, so we were kept awake every night until at least 4 a.m. by revellers (idiots) shouting, screaming, singing etc. with no respect whatsoever for anyone trying to sleep, plus bottles were regularly thrown into the bins and the lids slammed loudly shut! We also never managed to find seats to watch the evening entertainment. (I suspect family members arrive very early and take turns to keep hold of their seats).

BUT, the location is great and we have good memories of all the places we visited, such as Battle, Hastings, Chilham, Rye etc

I love love loved it at Camber once again! I've been going for 13 years now and I still love it just as much as I always did.

The entertainment being the highlight of the holiday was brilliant as usual! Seeing the characters was great! Food was great, activities were great, everything was in general great!

The only reason that I didn't give it 10/10 is because they stopped Action Pack Jack and Mega Mix Mick. I loved these characters as much as the others and I saw no reason to get rid of them. I was quite upset when I found out they'd been stopped and it was saddening not to see them in the shows.

The staff are friendly as always and service couldn't be better. One tip though, bring back Jack and Mick!!!!! BRING THEM BACK

Having read the reports before going I was concerned! We arrived at the Club apartment and found had a nice smell, it had everything we needed:Television, clean beds and a lovley clean Kitchin. Most of the other families had similar aged children so they had friends there too.

The Staff were polite and helpful, the pool was fab too and the right temperature it also had clean changing rooms. We went on the go-carts and had an amazing time racing around! Though there are no toilets so walking back to the main building was annoying! Food on site was quite good value but not the best qualerty.Ther is loads of pubs and restaurants near by so we could just walk over and get something to eat!

The beach is FANTASTIC! We had great wether wich made it even more fun! You won't be dissapionted!!!

It was the best holiday i have had in years and defonatly going again!

I didn't expect much after reading the reviews but I tried it out anyway.

When we first arrived we walked around the park we were all hoping our chalets where top class but they where verry basic, fortunetlly to us that was fine because we could make it more homely and to be our own. But some things looked like they needs a good lick of paint.

After exploring picked up our keys and went to our new home for the next few days. The chalet was genrelly clean and tidy but we did notice slight stains on the carpet

We found the Pontins entertainment excellent and all the prices great value for money.
We all tried the Go karts and at £2.50 it was a bargin too good to miss.

I think Camber sands has one of the best beaches on the English coast.

There are no big supermarkets near by except Budges in Rye, so we drove to Sainsbury in Hastings.

Overall we had a brilliant time at Pontins and we will be booking for next year.

I had read the reviews on here before i left and i was worried. So many people on the websites have been complaining about LOADS of things but I thought it would probobly be okay I mean i have been in worse!

The entertainment is great for the kids but i would like some more adult entertainment too. It was also close to the Beach, so we could just take a small walk and your there! Yes i agree the room was basic I would of liked something a bit less basic to be honest but that's just me! You get what you pay for. I recommend this to anyone that is not stuck up, and actually knows how to have a good time.

I have rebooked for a long weekend in August so we can go again!
